anyone try the new SPX skis at all? i have some c&a's that i purchased awhile back and never have used, but i think i like the look of these better as far as the new skis out there and how they perform. any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

p.s by saying "the look" i mean the bottom of the ski and imagining how it will handle, i have just the very basic c&a skis that has a single plastic ridge down the center. i was not meaning the :bling: factor. thanks!!!

i hear steering effort is high on them, but i also think c&a's steer hard too. i would say ask richierich because i know he has ran some, but he is built like a brick! lol! i remember asking him how his attak was with c&a xt's and he said it wasnt bad, i almost put it into the trees! lol! :Moon:

i have the x301 versions and they do look way better than the c+a planks. they dont grab as good in the loose stuff though. i have both and uses the usi this season. they are a better all around ski. the c+a can really give you a ride in warm conditions on packed snow, and are killer going in crust you can break through.

the spx perform great and better then the standard c,a ad model.they would be compared to the c,a razor model.usi also offers a power steering plate to reduce effort.they are $40 retail.i have one set left for $30.i have ran both the px301 and the spx.basically same ski except the steeped keel.i didnt notice anything different but they are supposed to create lift and more top end.but off trail i wouldnt see the gain's.what sled are you thinking about putting them on?

thanks for the great info guys, i think i've made up my mind to go with the spx's. i don't get much powder here in Indiana so it sounds like its where i need to be in skis. rich, i noticed you had the spx's listed on your site and that was the best price i found all day so i'll be droppin you a line after i get rid of the c&a's. i will be puttin these on my project sled that will be mostly for the harder riding. thanks agian guys!!!

they work great in the powder because of the wide front ( 6 3/4") and then taper to 4.5" in the rear.they allow you to carve ( roll) better in the fluff.when ever your ready let me know.thanks
