One of the things I've added to my list of summer projects on the sled is to see if it's possible to add some foam or base to the seat of my SRX to make it about 1.2 to 2 inches taller.Over the last few years my knees have been getting progressively worse as the cartilage breaks and wears away and when I sit on my sled the way I like to it puts alot of strain on them and consequently they ache quite a bit.I sat on an Apex and tried a friends Nytro this winter and found the seating position and height to be more to what I think I could live with easier so I'd like to raise mine to give me more room.I know that Boss has a line that will fill the need for a taller seat but if I buy one of their seats that will eat up a bunch on $ that I would like to use for other mods. And yes I know I could solve my problem by buying a new Apex but lack of coin right now is keeping me from that avenue
.
I thought if I could raise the base of the seat frame or add some seat foam to the desired heaight I could accomplish my objective relatively inexpensively.I have access to a prety good upholstry shop that can do the work I need,I've had my seat cover fixed there a couple of times,I guess I 'm looking for someone whose done this before to find out if it was worth it, if it turned out like they thought and what they did. Thanks

did you look at the seat wedge post? sounds like it would accomplish most of what you are after.
