a friend has a cart frame and we were playin around with the idea of throwin a motor in there and either some shocks and stuff for cheap to make it off-road'ish or leave it as is and lower it for a road'ish type cart. anyone have any suggestions for a cheap, CHEAP motor? just something to beat up pretty much, haha 
Just by chance if you happen to buy a newer cr80 or yz 85 for the motor i may be interested in the rolling chassis. Or if you find one let me know and maybe we can buy it together.

Bryant, I've got a couple kicking around, what are you looking for, like a dirtbike motor? I think I have an older Honda 250 4-stroke kicking around somewhere.

we have a yamaha 550 seca 4 cyl bike motor with transmission less cdi
and we have a un identified honda atv motor 4 stroke with tranny.

Since I was a teenager I thought about how cool it would be to have a go-cart with a sled motor and CVT. It would have to be funny car length to handle the torque. Imagine a 440 Fan on a go-cart with wide rear tires. It would have great acceleration. Even a Water cooled motor with a donor car radiator in front to distribute the weight a bit.
