re steering post?

I noticed that the steering post ( I think thats the name) on my 02 SXR has a grease zert while my 99 srx does not. The post on my 99 srx does not move as easy as the SXR I;m pretty sure it needs grease, do I just remove that the top bolt and fill with grease?? also will adding a zert work?? anybody else have the same problem?thanks

it should have bearings inside, if it has never been greased, the grease might have hardend up. remove it, clean it, repack it with cold grease.
