Does anyone know what Yamaha sprays on the inside of their guage cluster to help prevent fogging? I had an experience this winter where it went from 58 and raining to below 0 that nite. In the morning the guages on my 2- Vipers and my RX-1 had fogged over and then turned to a milky colored film on the inside surface. I dis-assembled the housings and cleaned the lens but it felt like there was some kind of film on the inside while I was cleaning them. They now seem to fog over easily even after siliconing the boots. ???

also, remove lens and clean with a no fog wax that is used for bathroom mirrors, and assemble dry and warm. if there is no moisture in it and the lense doesnt condence, and there is no moisture in the wire loom. this is where alot of moisture comes from, no the boot but from the conduit the wires are in. seal the wires to the conduit at the back of the boot. moisture in the conduit is what is getting up into the boot.
