Presently have 23/39 gears in my MM...Want to gear up a little higher for flat land riding...Will 9" inch drivers fit within the available track adjustment?...Stil have stock track 141".....(I believe my drivers are presently 8")...

I'd put a smaller gear on bottom but have reverse on the sled, and I don't think I can go larger on top gear...23 is largest, (I think)?..

any help is appreciated..

I ran 9 tooth drivers with a 1.1 X 141 track. It is a very tight fit...I had to remove the rear track tension adjustment screws to make it work. I ran 23/40 on my 01 piped ported mm. Ran real good & really made for a very shallow approach angle on the track. 9 tooth drivers are not even close with the 2" paddle track.

Turk....not sure what you mean by "not even close" with 2" paddle track....

I remember you telling me about 9 tooth drivers, but can't remember if I needed an extention or not...I want to keep the track and cut it down, and go to 9 tooth if possible...Trying to stay within a tight budget..

please explain..

thanks..

Cut the track down to at least 1.25". The track will be very tight. There is a lot of clearence but with 9 tooth drivers that track will be as tight as a guiter string until you get some miles on it.

How will the new approach angle change the ride quality, if at all....I'm shooting for better flat land riding and trail riding....

Will the 9 tooth driver help ride quality? Or. what will it do for me...

thanks...

TJ..

Better approach angle = more track on the ground=better traction & flotation in deep snow.
