I have a 92 Exciter II with original track. I purchased a 1" Camoplast track and there is not enough clearance in the tunnel to clear the coolers. I know the suspension is lowered to accomodate a 136" track extension all the time. Can anyone help by giving me a step-by-step instructions on what to do to lower the suspension. I assume I need to start by going to 8 teeth drivers to clear the cooler in the front! Thanks in advance for your help.
that 1 incher should clear with stock drivers. if you want to "drop" the suspension, look at SLP catalog, get yourself some 1/4" aluminum, and fabricate your own brackets. you can move the suspension mounting bolts in even increments down and back. on the rear shock mount (new brackets) this can drop up to 3". hope this helps
