I thought i would give asphalt racing a try this spring. I'm going to buy a used track & ski's and would appreiate any help with set up, clutching (Yamaha parts or after market), suspenion set up, gearing and any thing else a rookie should know. I'll be using a 98 700SRX, trail ported, V-force, air box mod, stock carbs, stock heads. With my 6 foot frame and 240 lbs. I thought i would have a better chance on a 1/4 mile asphalt track than i would on 500 feet of grass.

Send a PM to srxmagic. He should have a killer setup for that sled on asphalt. I'm sure you'll be hooked after the first run.
