lets see everybodys 340 and 440s
mine are completly torn down, don't have any updated pics of my progress. the 78 is just a parts sled, the 79 is the good one. as of right now i have the tunnel and belly pan polished on the 79, fuel tank, heatexchanger, and radiator installed, just finished my custom seat today. ;)!

thanks for the compliments guys.
all vintage SRX's are cool sleds in my opinion.
mine just recieved a key'd titanium jackshaft and polaris drive and driven clutches and a torque stop bolt to keep the clutches aligned.
it has hydrolic brakes, Wahl bros antiratchet track drivers, rubber camoplast track with 255 studs, Northstar Aluminum skis, Aaen open pipes, 44.5mm mikunis, Wahl bros champ footrest, slide lube system, digitron data recording system and an electronic powered adjustable limiter strap built by Jacques Villineuve...
i took second place 2 years ago in mod liquid open class at the vintage world championships in Eagle River WI.

THAT SRX MOD YAMIE 77 POSTED ALSO WAS MINE. SLED WAS 285 POUNDS AND DYNOED AT 108 AT 10,200 RPM. IN 660 ON ICE SLED RAN 105 mph. it was a 78 srx chassis and lower end with 77 srx cylinders, ssr heads, 77 SRX PIPES WITH STINGERS and 48MM CARBS. SLED WAS A ROCKET. 3:16 (tony)

I've seen 3:16s black SRX up close, it's an absolute gem, looks like it just came off the showroom floor and had never been ridden a day in its life. Great sled!!

Tony,
I'm going to kill my wife. She's the one that talked me into selling the 77. Make room in the garage for the vett. Everytime I see that sled I get sick. It belongs in a locked container or something. I hope Mark has vintage insurance on it. There's not even a scratch on the girl. Let this be a leason to all you guys out there. If you think your going to get out of the vintage sport and sell everything and never look back. Your crazy. It's a sickness that will stick with you until you die. I know. I'm there. Dean-o

DEAN, ONLY THING I CAN TELL YA IS THAT SLED PROBLEY FOUND THE BEST HOME IT COULD, YOU WILL NEVER FIND A BETTER GUY THAN MARK WHO KNOWS AND LOVES WHAT THOSE SLEDS WERE AND ARE TODAY. I FEEL YOUR PAIN BUD, IN 1976 I SOLD A GEM MINT 1970 1/2 Z28 CAMARO AND IN 1982 I SOLD A 1969 Z/28 302 CAMARO TO BUY THE LAND MY HOUSE IS ON. WE ALL BEEN THERE!! 3:16 (tony)

ALSO MARK AND I WILL HAVE HUGE SRX DISPLAY UP AT THE ELKLAND PA CLASSIS MUSCLE SHOW IN JULY. I WILL HAVE 1980 SRX AND MY 1979 SRX THERE WITH MARKS 77 SRX AND 1981 SRX 440 !! GUYS STOP DOWN , WE ALWAYS HAVE COLD ONES IN THE COOLER. 3:16 (tony)

snopro, that is the sweetest srx i've seen

those 77 and 80s look like new. i hope mine looks half as good as those and i'll be happy. makes me wonder if my 78 really is a 78 b/c that 77 looks like my 78 only with black spray paint over the white
