Ok this might sound stupid. I have 2 89 or 90 ovations sitting in my trailer.. One being the first sled I rode.. Now thest both have under 2,000 miles on them.. I like to know if I could set this sled up for off trail riding... I don't want to trash my 06 attak off trail riding through the brush.. I like to put a longer track on the sled than stock.. Is it possible??? Would this sled go ok in powder / loose snow? Should be good being narrow getting through the trees. I am not looking to win races with the sled just have some fun with a light fan cool sled..
Maybe I can get my parents to let me play around with converting the 88 Phazer.. LOL only got one of those left.. Ovation would be lighter thou so should be good for the few times I go way off trial riding..
You can say it.. I am nuts!

Get a long track bravo
it can go anywhere because it doesn't have the power to spin the track

Put a long track out the back ( 136 ) with a 1 1/4 paddle, you might find that you are under powered but it would be fun with a small sled like that......I would go with the Phazer and do the same LITTLE bit heavier but more power.....

I'd gear it way down. that will help you go slow without burning belts. you can put any length track under anything. I'd start with the phazer. you can polish a turd, but better to polish a lump of brass.

Where can I get rail ext for the ovation or the Phazer??? I have a 121 skid out of a viper will that fit on either.. Reason I ask about the ovation is I have two and it would be easy to talk the parents into leting me mod that one.. Like to have a top end of around 55MPH as the speed limit is 45 in NH and thats where I plan on using this toy.. Need to ride some trails to get to the off trial stuff..
Thanks for the info..

I saw a longtracked one on ebay last year, so it CAN be done. are the rails the same as a phazer? if so.... the phazer mtn lite was not long rails but extensions. can buy them new from yamaha still. that route would be easy
