I'm thinking of trying the new Rox adjustable risers on a Viper. They adjust from 4-5.5 inches. What do you think I will need for cables / hoses etc. to make it work ? Thanks, Howie
You need Viper mountain throttle/oil cables, and a new brake line
rich got me mine, so you can ask him

Thanks for the post Ola! So the 2" block, is that the Pivot? And the over 4 Inches is what you can see in the pictures?
So Rich if this is correct, then that price you quoted above for the Riser does that include both.
Thanks

i think rich is quoting you on the adjustable riser like these. http://www.roxspeedfx.com/cgi-bin/cart/showitems.cgi?subcat_id=289 no adaptor is needed, but i think you need the 7/8" tube for $14.95. i really want the adjustable riser for my attak (high for banging around and low for cruising) but im not sure if i can run it and keep my chrome ring!? i think in stuck with an adaptor and a 3.5" or 5" articulating riser.NLViper said:Thanks for the post Ola! Get the clamps with the 1 1/8" hole for fat bars. They are a much cleaner looking setup IMHO anyways. Check out Pro Taper Contour bars i ran them on my srx last year and they worked great. I took a fall at about 80 MPH and they are perfect. Also have rolled my quad with them same bars on and not a scratch on them!

They did once when my warmer wire came unplugged, but that was the only time.n2oiroc said:dont your hands get cold?
Here is a pic of how high my bars were. Total of 4.5" of riser plus the bars

if you use a rox or mountain machine riser you dont need a adapter to make it pivot.its built into the riser design.
dave.if you want to run a pivot riser on the attak/apex you need the adapter bottom because those sleds dont have the bottom half moon shape block like the older sleds.i 1st ran mine with the piece off mountainstein but wanted more rise so i used the rox adapter ($45) and 6" mm riser .if you use a rox adapt. and riser you can use your trim ring.using the adapter and 3 1/2" rox riser will give you 1/2" taller then stock.i would use the 5" and the adapter.
nlviper.on your sled you just need the riser no adapter needed.the plain pivot riser that is just one height is alot cheaper then the height adjustable one.most just use the standard pivot riser.any questions let me know.theres alot of options.
