does any body know if i can put a set of rox slead treds on my viper if i already have a set of yamaha traction brackets on

you will probably have to take them off, but with the sled treads you won't need them...they make you're running boards ridgid...I love mine.

i want the traction brackets for the looks that is the only reason i bought a set because i think they look cool

yea i think that would probably look kinda chopped if you had the traction brackets on there underneath the rox treads. Just my opinion though.

viperking, if you don't mind me asking but why all the "bling"? i mean your spending some pretty good coin on some just looks stuff, and even overlapping the stuff, why not on some studs, track, clutching, pipes, etc? ya know, some go fast stuff? just curious...

i have not bought a set of rox treads yet and i am not gonna get them as for studs i have a studded camoplast predator track and the reason i have not bought pipes is because i have no clue how to jet/clutch it for the pipes although i already have a bender clutch kit from the wrecked viper i bought and parted out and i would have kept the bender silencer that came with it but i was going to fix it so i sold it for parts and now since i parted it out i am kicking myself in the a$$ for selling it

I had the blue Yamaha traction for one season and sold them. They worked but, I was not totally happy with the traction factor. They did however look great. I now have the ROX treads on my viper and love them too. They work great and have a real aggressive look to them. I got the blue inserts and they look real cool. The ROX treads go right against the tunnel. There would be no room for the Yamaha traction brackets unless you cut them and thats a waste of money.

Viper7Mile is correct. I have had mine for 3 yrs. and was by far one of the best addons I have made to my Viper. At 285 lbs. I flex ALL stock running boards. The added traction is simply amazing. I rode my new to me '01 Venture for a little bit last season. No added traction, totally stock. Hit the brakes for a corner and almost castrated my self. My feet slid forward and so did I LOL. Since longtracking my Viper, I modified my Treads to fit the rearward placement of the suspension. Still work great. I will have them on every sled I own.

Viper Dave what do you mean you modified the treads for longtrack?
the tunnel floor boards dont change you just add extensions tunnel & rails?
or did you do something different? looking to add treads to my Viper this summer
maybe a picture would be cool

I installed 136" rails. This moved the rear suspension point back 7 1/2". The Treads fit the 121" with access to bolt for rear scissors bolt. I had to modify the Treads by cutting another access slot to remove this bolt. If you used rail extensions, no need to modify. Hope this answered your questions. I will try to get pics tomorrow. The Ol' girl is resting in the trailer right now LOL!

I agree about the comments about the ROX sledtreads, I have spent alot of money on aftermarket go fast stuff and by far the best addition was the sledtreads...I'll have them on every sled I own from now on.
