Well I will be tearing down my Rx1 this summer to rebuild a motor. :whine:

But, before the wife will let me do that. I have this little project I started in October 2005 that needs to be finished by August 2006. Just so I can make sure I have plenty of time to finished the Rx1 project. ;)!

One picture is from Feb, One is from March and One Picture is from April.

Awsome job man!, im quite impressed.

Me and my old man are building another camp and its actually quite a blast to work on it. Its a "middle of nowhere" camp so were using solar cells, battery backup and generator for power, then propane for heat and etc.., but thats way in the future.

Rebuilding the RX-1?, howd you blow the engine?, before I search through previous posts, lol

Looks like a rod nut loosen and chucked the rod cap thru the case. Took out the upper half, rod and crank. I bought it in January and had 300 miles on it. :dunno:

I have been enjoying it. My wife and I and as many friends I that owe me favors have been building it. Typically myself most of the time.

Sounds interested what you are doing. Send me pictures when you get time. Later.

cant beleive that thing blew up on you!!! I got a little 11' v huill fishing baot (all aluminum) for $350!!!! cleaned it up, bought a new plug for it, gotta see if it floats now!!! lol!! going to clean the trailer for it and paint it up too. have a 4 hp YAMAHA motor for it of course ;) been sitting damn near 5 years or so, so I cleaned the carb, drained the gas, put fresh gas in and it fired on the 4th pull :) thats my project, getting some hours in on it and setting up the boat with some seats etc to make it a bit nicer :)

Sounds like a great deal. Sometimes I am so supprised what people with sell because they dont want or dont know how to fix it. ;)!

It was a good deal :) the motor is actually my fathers, so it wasnt part of the deal, but it is still a good deal even so :) tried it the other day, floats! no leaks at all, and the motor ran perfect, 2 pulls and it was going. 1 pull once it was warm. I was and still am psyched!

Right on!

I am finished up the living room in our addition, then moving to the new bed room. I hope I can have it finished before summer! ;)!
