What do you guys think? I can get a pro-x with walker evens to put into my srx. What do you think? Has anyone does this and what did you think of the switch?
Thanks
Thanks
From what I have read, the Walker Evans shocks are very stiff. I'm assuming that they can be revalved etc.

if you ara an AGRESSIVE rider it will be the best thing you could ever do to it. you will need to send the shocks to a GOOD shock guy to fix the durability issues the walkers have though. the ryde fx are a better choice. if you deciede to do it let me know, i have a pro x and know the tricks to make it much more compliant and still kick *** in the moguls and i have all the mounting locations too.

iroc, The seller is asking 300$ plus shipping, is that a good price for an 03 pro-x. I really want to do this to my SRX but Im a little afraid that it is going to be to stiff. But I don't think that it can be worse than my pro-action. I think I'm going to do it and I think I will be giving you a call since we are both from milwaukee.

$300 is good, just make sure the rails arent ovaled out where the front torque arm bolts to (mine were). the ryde fx are better than the walkers for reliability, but there are guys out there that can get the walkers to work awesome. dont worry about the ride, with a rear shock revalve, a $30 spring and the correct settings it will ride a ton better than a pro action on any bump bigger than 4" and the same on anything smaller. it isnt a plush suspension by any means (like my attak) but it isnt harsh either. i can fly down a mogul field at 80mph with one hand and hit some really nasty stuff without upsetting it. i tried the same stuff on the attak and almost killed myself!Johnnysrx said:iroc, The seller is asking 300$ plus shipping, is that a good price for an 03 pro-x. Iroc,
I didn't buy it,I bailed out at the last second. Im just scared that it would of been to stiff for my riding style. I had the first year viper and I hated the way it rode and I just bet that the pro-x would of been worse. I will still keep my eye out for edge suspension. If you see one give me a shout via email.
Thanks

go to the 4 stroke side and look at Oak Hills pro active. it is a great susspension. If I didn't have so much tied up in my rear ohlins I'd buy it. Maxdlx

Walker Evans have durability issues! They need constant rebuilding.

if your not real agressive the edge will be perfect. believe it or not my pro x rides better than my viper with the factory updated softer shocks! the edge will be a drastic ride improvement and you'll shave around 20lbs off the sled too!Johnnysrx said:Iroc,
