sled transportation - Iowa to cental MN

just off I35. north east of Fort Dodge. I was planning on picking up this GPX when I skydive in Fort Dodge over the Labor Day weekend, but I may not be making the trip this year

Maxdlx was away this weekend camping, he is back today. Just talked to him and trying to get caught up. I would expect him to respond soon.

I have a transport business...whats it worth. :rofl:
 
mapquest is showing a 9 hour round trip for me. Not the worlds worst, but a HUGE inconvience. I no longer have my trailer, so I would have to rent or borrow, and thats always a pain. The sled is a '75 GPX338, owner is willing to sit on it as I already paid him. But just dont want it there all summer either. Even getting the snowmobile up to the minneapolis area would be a help. anyone heading to the "outlaw grass drags in Prinecton MN 8/27-28? or Haydays in ForestLake on 9/9-10? GranstBurg watercross on 7/15-16?
 
I didnt realize it was near Ames. I was just there last week. I dont go up 35 to Haydays. But plan on going to Haydays if someone is going east near Iowa Cities/ Cedar Rapids area before then. Maybe maxdlx will be going out west before then?

Ames is a 3hrs drive from my house. It would be about the same distance to go there then up.

I am heading your way tomorrow night. I am going to try to call you saturday and stop by to see if the shift linkage on your sled will work on mine.

I am coming back your way the weekend of the 24th. If you can get your sled anywhere near Menomonie Wisconsin I can haul it the rest of the way to Alexandria.

I just west of the cities, it couls always sit in my garage with the rest of the toys if that would help anyone out. I will be making the trip to Alex sometime in July-August

I acutally work in Becker durring the week. Getting this sled with out a trailer is becoming a pain. Wish I would have kept it after I bought my Race Bus
