looking on ebay for srx stuff.
I find a trashed 2001 (studded track blew out)
opening bid $1750
another srx no engine
opening bid $1000
and a clean looking 98 600
opening bid $2000
come on people. I like my SRX, but the newest SRX is 2 redesigns out of date and the basic sled is now 9 model years old!
if anyone here is listing these good luck, but this is JUNE! not December. in my opinion they are all at least $500 overpriced.

if they are overpriced then they wont sell. i always hate shopping on ebay with my buddy. he always comments on how cheap some of the stuff is. i dont think he understands that its an auction! prices go up. or when he sees something priced really high and thinks his stuff is worth more. i tell him to watch the stuff and see if it sells before he gets his hopes up!

SRXs are also starting to get kinda rare. They stopped making them in '02 and I think that people who want a Yamaha but dont want a 4-stroke are gobbling up SRXs, SX Vipers and even SX Venoms as quick as they can.
They know that its highly unlikely that Yamaha will ever make another 2-stroke sled.
Besides, who ever said that pricing on Ebay is always fair?

Yea I saw those too, I picked one up last Feb. for 1500.00 w/5800mi. w/a couple of minor cosmetic issues and needed new plugs and caps. It runs great. Sounds like it was a decent price in comparison to ones on ebay

What about the 1976, '77 and '78 440 SRX's? One that's in good shape sells for more than what they were new. Makes me wish I'd have kept my '76.
Is it fall yet?

Those prices are a rip off. I sold my '98 SRX 700 last December with 3000 miles, $500-$700 in extras for $1800. Sorry people but that's all they're worth!

Sleds are also worth less around here. I bought my SRX 3 years ago for $2500. Bought it with some of the extras also. It's not uncommon to see '98 model year sleds around here for around $2K. Problem is that there isn't near as many sleds around here for sale.
