Will and SX CDI work in an SRX with no valves? Is there a rev limiter in the SX box?

I've heard of it being done for the high rev reason . I thing the case I heard of they just bolted the valves in place in the open position. I asume you are using a price or similar kit. seams like they should have plenty of first hand experience

The motor is big, but not a kit, and not price cylinders. 
yes, it will work, ya need to run the old style 175 watt ignition/stator system in your 01 sled, use the sx wiring harness or a 98-9 srx harness. If your gonna run a big motor , I would run the older heavier flywheel as well, it will involve some minor fabrication to move the ign. pick up on the 2000-02 srx cases, unless your running a 98-99 engine case, then its all a bolt on .

As mrviper says the SX ignition will bolt right onto the 98-99 cases. Works well on 1000cc running 9100-9500 rpm. You will have to play with the timing a little to find what combination works for your engine.
