One of my 82 SS 440 needs a CDI box. The only one I could come up with is different, from a Phazer I was told? It has an extra wire black/yellow and an extra connector. It will not run with this box installed. Does someone have wiring diagrams for a 82 SS and Phazers 85-90 so I can compair the 2?
Or how about a CDI box for a 82 SS 440? The PN is 8N4-85540-20-00 This # also fits some 340's and the 84 Phazer and I am sure some other models too.

I have several 8N4 (printed on the side of the CDI unit). CDI boxes. If you can give me the wire colors and weather the wires have a male or female connectors. I think I can help you. You can even call me at (518) 293-6213. Brad
 
If Brad doesn't have one I may. Like he said, list the wire colors that are on it, maybe we can help.

The box has the #8N4-20 1529 on it.
5 wires. wht/red w/male, Brown w/male, orange w/female, Blk w/2female and a Blk/white wire that is missing it's connector but i think it was a female.

I have one. This one has a secondary Black wire (ground) female end comming off from the pimary black wire. $50.00 shipped. Brad

If i can find my book I will have a wiring diagram for you. All of it has been paked away for the Move to Denver, but i do know what the boke looks like that it is in. I will look this weekend.


The spare black on is for the tether kill switch, it grounds out the ignition system.
white/red= MAG
Black/white=MAG
Orange=coil
Brown=mag
