my father has a 01 thundercat and it has a vary comfortable ride so i was wondering if the shocks from a 01 tcat would bolt straight into a viper i want to change fronts and rears ya i could go look at both sleds and see but they are in storage and i am not gonna dig them out so i am just wonderin if anyone knows

the best way to check is to measure them but i doubt they will. the viper uses a clevis mount for the front shocks and cats as far as i know do not. as for the rear the suspension is totally different the rear shock on a viper has a coil over spring where the cat has a torsion spring as for the cent I'm not sure there only way to check would be to measure eye to eye

i was pretty sure they wouldn't work due to length and stuff but i was just makin sure
A-arm vs Trailingarm.
You can get a better ride out of your trailingarm style by updating to ohlins, but your talking lots of $$'s. Then you can send them out and get them setup for your weight and riding style.

ya i thought about ohlins but there is no way they can improve you ride so much that their worth the big bucks they cost
Oh yes they can. maxdlx
DITTO!! I have had 3 set's of shocks on my Viper. Original 02's, updated 02's and Ohlins. Hands down the Ohlins were better. No fade no matter how hard you push it. And ask ANYBODY that has been to a Ty ride, I push it. Adjustability from plush to sky high jumping, and they last a LONG time. I was even able to adjust the shocks after changing from stock skis to C@A skis. If you can find a set, grab them. Mine have about 6,000 miles on them and are going to be rebuilt for my latest purchase, an 02 Viper for my son to ride. With almost 12,000 on the 02 ER that I have been riding, it's time for a retirement and an upgrade.
