I just traded my 03 Viper for a 01 grizzly last wk. I grew up using atv's so I should of had one before, its almost a necessity here, but I went with the sled first, but anyway I had to make the sacrifice and do the trade. Really likes the bike though. But cant wait now for another couple of years when I can afford to get another sled. Definently going to be another yammie to.

You could have gotten a newer grizz for that trade.... cause if i remember right, 02' was the year that they bumped the engine up to a 660, put IRS, and shift-on-the-fly 4x4/ differential lock.

Wow...Sounds like a sad yet happy story...Judging from your avatar...I've been modeling my viper after yours...Oh well...I'm an avid ATV'r aswell...I love both
venues for riding...but it would be hard for me to unload one for another...Congrats!!!

There is a company starting up in colorado that is going to sell conversion kits to switch your sled to a 2 wheel drive atv and back in 5 hours for the average mechanic. They raced Pikes Peak this year with a RX1. Pictures in the news paper were Bad A$$ of the Sled?/ATV? Can you even imagine doing a turbed Apex? When the company is futher along I will post more info.

i thought about turning my viper into a atv that way i could feel like i am riding a sled and i would get more than a couple hundred miles on in a year because the snow lately has been well not here

Wow, thanks SS Viper!
Well, I may been on the lower side of the trade, but the sled needed a new track, new trailing arm, new skis and rods. But I cant complain to much, I had all that money tied up in storage from April until January, and last year we only got about 3 wks of sleding, and that kind of turned me off.

I would of just bought a bike, but right now Im back in school and money is tight, but within two years I will have a new yammie, three at the latest.

Plus the fact that I dont finish school until end of december and I will only be home for two wks probally around end of february and then gone for another 6-8 wks. So I wouldnt get to do any sledding anyway.
But I will still be on here this is a great site with a lot of info.

Wow..sounds like you have a tough schedule...Basically my dad has always to me...Education and career first...Toys will follow...I'm at the point where my wife and I are expecting another baby alongside my daughter...Sooo my winter fun will be limited aswell...buuut...I'm not dead yet...I just hafta plan out my time...and rides...and treat her like a queen during the Spring, Summer and Fall...and I ride like a King in the winter....heheheheh....Cheers and all the best...
