Just bought and 02 Viper, I noticed it has newer style idler wheels and has quick adjust shock. I there any way to tell if this is a newer suspension.
I bought this from a Polaris dealer who did not know. Picked it up for $2400.00
and the thing is spotless! I also want to know if control cables/lines will work with 2 inch riser?

what do you mean by a quick adjust shock? does it have 2 or 1 shock in the rear skid? if just one, could be someone put a monoshock in it. yes you can put a 2" riser on it w/out longer cables, stock cables work fine.
You mean the updated suspension Yamaha offered?
The front shock bolt moves up or down to change the shock rate. I had a 04 RX-1 with the same setup. I just wondered if that was stock.

I know the 03's came with the 3 position adjuster on the front rear shock. Probabily the 02's came with it or someone may have installed an 03 viper pro-action suspension.

that is the stock suspension and the three position adustment for the shock mount location is the FRA (full rate adjuster) adjustment.
