Has anyone ever used the Super Stock Motor Mounts like the ones that I have seen at Hauck and Sno-Tek? They have two durometers, one for trail and one for racing. I have a 02 SRX 780 (trail) and want to know if there would be any benefit to using them to reduce motor movement. Can just the two front ones be changed as suggested to me or should you change all four?
Just curious, do you still have the dcs hookeed up when running a 780? thanks

no benefit in my opinion, you already have a link to stop excessive engine movement on the sled stock, I have ran solid mounts, hard durameter and notice nothing but increased vibration in the handlebars. The solid mounts broke the steel brackets that bolt to the engine when the sled comes down hard from a wheelie, or ski lift.

Yes, and seems to be fine.

Thanks mrviper, that's the type of responce I am looking for. I value your opinion. Anybody else have any thoughts on the stiffer mounts, good or bad?

mrviper I put the hard mounts on my 1000 and I think they are a must to help reduce engine movement.

harder isn't always better is what i was told. with the "softer" compound, it soaks up the vibrations and such instead of transfering it to the mounts and frame or engine itself. harder would be kinda like bolting motor straight to mounts and frame with very very little give. just what i was told.

A 1000cc engine compared to a 780 isn't a good comparison. For trail riding the stock engine mounts work fine!
