Ski brackets on Phazers

Hey guys this is my first post. I just picked up a 92 Phazer II last weekend that is complete except for the aluminum brackets that bolt onto the ski's and then onto the shock towers.

Could any of you guys tell me what years use the same brackets on phazers?

Are the ski brackets from an 85 the same?

Ski brackets

Thanks Pat I have been touch with him through email. Just not sure if the brackets off of an 85 are the same as my 92.

Heres a tip for ya after you get the strut mounts, we used to use srx plastic ski's on the phazers, all you have to do is machine a slightly rectangle hole in the bottom of the aluminum ski bracket to clear the bracket and strut end with a mill and the 98-02 srx ski's will bolt right on.

If you haven't allready found brackets, the 85 struts where a larger diameter than the 92 so I would say the mounts wouldn't fit. They need to be from 90 or later Phazer II.

Parts interchange ability

Are there many parts from the 85 to 89 phazer's that will interchange with my 92 Phazer?
I thinking are the carbs the same, what about the headlight fairing are even the hood and any panels?
I see also of parts from the Phazers of the 80's for sale on ebay for a good price alot, I thought I would see if any will fit mine.

There are some parts that will match up but not alot, I had the same problem with my 1989 and my 1992 Phazer, I believe the carbs will work, not sure about the headlight fairing , but the hood and panels won't fit because the ski stance is wider on the Phazer 2 the front panels are molded out towards the shock towers..The track back suspension is different, seat is the same, clutches are different..Hope I helped a little good luck

I could all the info I can get, I new to these Phazers so I just don't want to pick up any parts that won't work.
I almost picked up some of those ski brackets this weekend but they are from 89 so all the info I have recieved has helped alot.
