Windshield

Not Sportech/ Cobra.
They discovered that the sun coupled with a chrome windshield equalled melted gauge pods. I confirmed this twice.
To sportech's credit they replaced my shield with a red one, and paid for the gauge pod and dash panel replacement.

Is that why the blue chromes have the back side painted with a real thick black. Hmmmm. Maxdlx

REMOVE your Chrome windshield for summer storage....

To everyone that has a chrome or blue chrome windshield:

Remove windshield for summer storage in a cool place away from sun and heat. Even if you had in a covered trail like I did.

I have a low chrome that started to bubble, it looks like water but its not. The thick black finish on the back protects the foil chrome from under stratches.
To repair the windshield I'am going to try some chrome foil from a scrap and stamp it store. They sell self adhesive chrome foil. It should work, I will let you kno how it turns out.

I have two windy's for sale, the used mid height chrome and the transparent red one that Sportech sent me. I'm thinking maybe $40. for the chrome and $55. for the red. PM me if interested. BTW, I'll be out of town from July 29-Aug. 13th. but odds are we won't be riding sleds for a while yet.
