Is there a thermostat in the srx cooling system? If so where is it? I'm going to try grass dragging and i'm gonna build a cooldown cart but need to know if there's a thermostat i need to remove to let my system flow freely.
the stat housing is located at the end of the coolant rail that is bolted to the heads, opposite the shutoff for carb heat. hope this helps

perfect thanks for the help sounds like i just have to take it apart and remove the stat

I would not remove it, the coolant will flow to fast. This could cause a condition where you might over heat the cylinder head and cylinders. Instead block the stat open, this will allow free flow and you will still have a little restriction in the system. I also built a cool down cart, if you need help ask me..
