FYI,
Bucks has Cobra Low Blue Windy's again for $25.00 until 8/31. These are factory seconds. I bought one last year and have been very happy especially for the money. There always seems to be interest in these windy's and there have been a few threads as well, so I thought I would let you guys know. Look in the closeout section at http://www.thesnowmobilestore.com/.
G.B. ;)!

Yes, it matches pretty good. I have heard other guys say that their Cobra windy does not match that well. I really like the way mine looks.

Thanks, I am going to order one. Do you know where I can get black head light covers?

Hey curious...

I've been debating on a new windshield...but sometimes it gets reeeeealll cold up here
in the great white north...I'll be the first to admit I love the stock windshield for tucking in behind at hight speeds...These Cobra windshields...are they solid blue or
Transparent...?

they are solid i think but if you want you can buy a transparent chrome or blue chrome one from them

Cool...I'll look into it..I love the look of the solid allot...but I love to see through it aswell...cheers and thanks

It says they are:

These windshields are considered Overstock windshields or "Blems" with minor imperfections. Slight scratches or marks, but no< cracks. In original packing from Factory.

Anyone know how severe the scratches are?

I bought one from here last season and it had a small bend in it, but it wasn't noticeable. I called to let them know and they told me to keep it and sent me a second one(unblemished) for free.;)! They told me that some have minor blems, but many of them are just overstock with no defects.

I do not remember mine having and scratches. Mine actually has some small dark round spots that looks kind of like a leopard print. You can only see them if you are right up close and look hard at the windy. I called and talked to Buck about this and he told me to bring it to the Novi show and he would either exchange it, let me pick out a new one, or give me a refund. I decided I liked the way it looked, the color match was good, it was $25, so I kept it.

The low windy is cold. You do take on more air on your hands and helmet than with the std wiindy. The first time I rode with this windy was last Febuary in Wawa when the high temp was -15 F. I rode 600 miles in four days. I put all of my trail pemits on the hood so I could swap windshields. I even took my std windy on this trip but didnt use it. I wound up with frostbite on the bridge of my nose. The price for looking good.....

I think this year I will use my std windy if the temp drops below 0 F. Anything above 0 I will be using the low windy.
