I am looking to upgrade skis this year from stock and i have 144 studsm, whats the best for this sled?

Everybody has been raving about these...some are even saying you can an extra 1 or 2 MPH...but they are shaped like some sporty Boat Hulls(step like)...and you can add Shaper bars to em...these'll be my nextyears purchase...they are USI SPX I think...

good luck

i like the simmons for a few reasons: 1, ski tip is flexible to absorb bumps, 2, carbides on outside of ski essentially widens your ski stance, 3, zero darting, 4, you can add a fin to the inside of the ski which directs snow in marginal conditions to your track thereby saving on hyfax wear, 5, plastic bottoms won't wear down thereby decreasing your straight line tracking ability. i had a set of v-trac which had grooves in the bottom of the ski to control darting. well, needless to say, after awhile those groves get worn down and decrease the effectiveness of the ski.

Welcome aboard Thumper1...This site flat out rocks and so much knowledge from everyone here...Nice ski's aswell...

i have a viper with c&a's and one with simmons. you cant go wrong with either. i prefer the c&a's my wife prefers the simmons. each one works better in different conditions than the other.

I like the C&A pro advantage with 6" shaper bars. They are a very durable ski and look good too.

Hard to say which is the 'best' but its not hard to get a better ski then stock. I like the simmons but they are some serious $$, I got the C&A's abotu this time 2 years ago for a little over $200, they were worth every penny.

Well said, all around preformance is great. My riding buddies and myself, never sell our sleds with our Simmons skis. The sleds we sell and trade, but the skis we keep. The fin not only saves HyFax but allows the sled to run cooler, by covering the running board heat exchangers with fresh snow constantly.

Yea C&A's are a great deal for a little cash!!!!

....And Rich will take very little off your hands for a pair of these high quality pieces.

Hey Rich, how many referals do I need for a gift certificate?

LOL!
