I am changing crank seals in my 570. Does anyone have the torque specs for the case half bolts?

Also, I would like to clean "flush" the bottom end, what should I use for this? just some pre-mixed fuel?

That should be fine. Also use some air.

Thanks!

I could just about kiss you right now.

Oh, umm, one stupid question, whats the bottle with "E" written on it in that pic?

I assume a few drops of premix oil goes there??

Thanks again!!

Yep, put oil on EVERY bearing after you clean that lower end. Make sure the feel okay when you roll them.

I don't think I'll sell it just yet.

I just got a nice Xtra 10 on it, and I will be getting a clutch re-build, and maybe twin AAEN's...

I wouldn't want to sell it if I were you either, those are awesome sleds!! But,... your gf might be passing you up with you on a phazer and her on that SX!!

Nah, this one's no speed demon. it has '88 unported cylinders, still has flatslides, and all 1996 YVX clutches and will have a pipe (s) it may be a pretty good race now that I think of it.

I'll add too much weight in the pri. to make it bog down so she can't beat me.

muuhaha hahaha

what happened that you had to put '88 cylinders in it? That SX motor was a screamer, I forget what the hp on it was, but it had to be in the 90-100hp range. Put a PSI single pipe on it and oh boy, you're in for a treat. Twins on that sled were really hard to get tuned properly from what I recall.

I blew it up last year, and inseated of putting down 300 for the SX cylinders re-nicasil (each), I got a cheap set of iron bores, and bolted them on. then it blew again 1000 miles later due to a crank seal.

but now it's all coming back together, hopefully will last another 12 000 miles like the first time it blew..

I wish I could find a decent deal on Nicasil, but damn!

Even if I would sleeve them, but I don't think SX sleeves exist, they don't have a bridge in the intake port, and higher ports as well, not 100% sure.

Anyways, it's a pretty good looking sled, I love the looks of the old girl.
