On my 2001 mmax 700 there is plastic inserts in the stook reed cage is there any benifit if you take themout or leave them in ?
Never heard of anyone taking them out. For reed mods go to the tech section. Can do the reed notch or reed spacers is the only mods I know of. Also the Yamaha reeds are pretty darn good so you may be wasting $$ if you buy after market ones too..........

your sled would be about 2 oz. lighter.
