What would everyone say is the best all around track for an SRX. I do mostly trail driving but also like to play in the deep stuff when we have it. Also, are any modifications needed to fit an 1 1/4" on the SRX?

I have a 1.25 on my 01, no problems and it does help in the fluff.
You will lose some top end with the 1.25 but gain traction. The 1.25 will rub on your tunnel and heat exchanger protectors so you will have to take them off, or switch to 8 tooth drivers and be able to stud the 1.25 and keep the protection.

I installed the 9818 1 1/4 unstudded on my stock 01 SRX. Works awsome. No mods needed unless you are going to stud. Then I believe you should go with smaller drivers. Not postive about that though.I am still running 9 inch drivers with no problem at all. Some say to clip the track some say run smaller drivers or remove protectors. I did none of the above and it is fine. Just install and drive. I have over 1000 miles on this track so far. I have a 1 inch on my other Big Bore 01 SRX with 244 studs, but I stay on groomed trails and run lakes with that one. I would definitly go with the 1 1/4 for the loose stuff.

without the protectors, you can run up to 1.5" stock.

so.....will a 1.25 track fit that has 1.325 studs in it???????? I was think about going to a 136 with this set up.....and I'm reading yes and no.....
You can go 1.25" without studs, and leave the protectors. I clipped my track slightly just last night,as it was rubbing pretty hard on the front protectors on a couple fingers. I'm sure they would wear off where required after a few fast miles. I don't think the location where these protectors are riveted on is real consistent from sled to sled. This is with stock 9 tooth drivers. With studs, you would need to go to 8 tooth for sure.

Looks like most people are going with the 1 1/4" track. I think I could sacrifice a few mph for the advantage in the powder. Thanks for all the info.
