Hey guys i knoe its not a real big thing but i am desperately looking For a throttle cable for my exciter butter fly carbs realy need befor winter . . . if you guys could help me out that would be great its for my vintage racer its a 78 exciter 440 only thing i need is a throttle cable for the 87 eciter carbs i tried to for new but they dont make them any more

You can go with a used one, but you should buy a new one. They are only around $20 or so. Engine looks great. You should also keep that engine shroud on. It will aid in the cooling of the engine. The PTO side will over heat and burn up. Brad

Ya i have to get a shoud . ..i think the previos owner burnt it up b4 ( new head) There is no cable available threw yamaha or aftermarket

Those are Phazer carbs, right? If so just get a Phazer throttle cable. I have several engine shrouds. Brad

Nope exciter 570 carbs i gues not many years had the butterflys and how much for they shroud ? i am located in ontario canada so if you could ship it COD that would be great

Sorry, I don't ship COD. $10 US dollars (international money order), and and another $10.00 US dollars for shipping. You should use a Exciter throttle cable for that year. I think the butterfly carbs on the 570 Exciters were for only one year. Brad

You need to be carefull on the cable. My 1987 Exciter has round slide carbs from the factory. Make sure you get the right cable.

I always replace the screws, because the heads get stripped. I will look for more screws for you. I would have to hear that you blew up that engine just because of the cheap little tin shroud. MY address is
