I just picked up an 03 Viper(ER) it has a new track on it,if I stud this track will I need to have some sort of protectors on the rear cooler? The sled was studded before, and has all the other protectors(front cooler, and tunnel protectors) but the rear cooler is new (was put in when track was replaced) and they hadn't studded the new track.
If I do need something,is there a "kit" for the rear cooler?
Thanks!

I added a rear cooler to my 02 Viper and I put the protectors on. I got a used set off this site, so it didn't cost much. It's probably a good idea, rather than be left on the side of the trail somewhere, after a hard tail landing or a g-bump that bottoms you really hard.

Yeah..I'd do it(protectors)...I installed my rear exchange last year...had a few rides..no problem...left my machine in Northbay...my dad grabbed it the next weekend
and took a buddy out(Seat Jack) on it..and crunch..they bottomed out and hit the rear exchange...only a few fins are bent..and no puncture..buut...I'm installing a set of SRX protectors this year...

Yes, run protectors or you will be sorry on your first heavy tail landing. I have heavy scratches even with protectors.

Check out www.richmotorsports.com, I'm sure I seen some there for $50-60 bucks and he is a great guy to do business with....
