Going to check it out. Heard the guy punctured a collector and melted the motor. Wants to dump it. Sat in a barn covered for a few years. From other people they tell me it is in great condition considering. Would appreciate opinions. Thanks!

It's worth whatever the buyer says it is. Basically whatever the remaining good parts are worth to the buyer. Myself I would give probably $500 to $1500 for it depending upon the condition of all remaining parts. Is it in Mass ? If it was close to Michigan I would be interested in it.

You'd have to look at it....see what kind of damage there is,add up your cost to fix it,decide how much you want to spend.Make him an offer.
I'd say MAXIMUM $1500.(seeing how a running one sells between 2500 and 3000) if the sled is mint, but you gotta figure all the time in labor and parts to fix whatever's wrong with it.

also if it has been sitting for years bearings would be a concern as well. I would be more apt to buy that just went down rather than one that has been sitting for a while, so that should lower the price in my opinion.
I'll give him a grand for it!

It is in Mass. I'll see it this weekend. If I play my cards right, I might build it for a spare sled. The labor would be labor of love. I like to tinker and rebuild stuff. If not, I'll buy it to keep spare parts for me then part it out. Thanks for all your replies!!!!
