I just purchased a used 1.5" Camo track. It has 96 studs down the center these studs are huge like 1.75" long.

I ride off-trail whenever possible. However, in Michigan, you can't always rely on great conditions so various trail conditions are to be expected.

Question:

Should I remove the studs and tunnel protectors and install with stock drivers/gearing
OR
Should I remove the studs and tunnel protectors and change the stock gearing
OR
Should I leave the studs and change out the drivers and gearing? Is this even possible?
If so, what drivers and gearing will accomodate this?

Thanks in Advance.

there is no way to run a studded 1.5" on that chassis. options are:

remove studs and run 1.5" track.
sell 1.5" track and get a studded 1.25" track.
get a sled that will fit a 1.5" track under it.

if you can live without studs, remove them along with the tunnel and heat exchanger protectors, gear it down a little and enjoy.

the best bet if you had money to blow would be a studded 144" x 1.25" with tipped rail extensions from tracks usa.

I think he could switch to 8 tooth drivers?
I have a 1-1/2"(no studs) with the stock drivers
heard of guys running 1-3/4" (no studs)
