Hello guys,
This past weekend at Hay Days I bought a project sled. For $1000.00 I got a 2000 MOuntain Max chassie, A freshly rebuilt Viper Moter, and a NEW 151" 2003 Mountain RX1 Rear skid. This thing's going to be a beast! All the parts were with it except for the headlight pod and guages. I found this on a Venterure hood for $200. It's the newer style with the good headlights. SO!! Now that you get a picture of what I have what do I do? I am thinking pipes for sure. I was also thinking of changing the mountain max hood to a viper hood, which will help resale and will work a lot better and without cutting the mountain max hood for the viper air box. ANy other recomendations? I could sell this skid and go with a cat rear skid out of like an M7 for better weight transfer and I was also thinking about adding a 4 inch riser to it. The final setup and all jetting and gearing will be done by someone smarter with all this than me. I'm just putting it all together. Any input/ideas would be great! Thanks guys!!!

Sounds like you've got some hours in the garage ahead of you. I'm pretty sure you will need a viper bulkhead to mount that motor but don't quote me.

This isn't nearly as challenging as trying to get a dual headlight to work in my 97 700 sx. I'll post some picts up when I get them. I bought a 06 mtn vector also but I'm actually looking fwd to riding this one more!!
