What is the differnce between STX and EX ?

Hey im looking at a parts sled i have a 78 Exciter and the sled im getting is a 76 STX is the chassie the same ? ? ?i knoe the moter is but i dont knoe about the rest what parts are interchangable ?

i have owned both of them, and the only thing i could see was the guage console is on the gas tank for the stx and onthe hood under the winsheild for the ex. so thats abouht it that i could see.

STX has what I think is the same gas tank cover as the GPX. It is otherwise supposed to be the same as the Exciters.

Ok Thanx . . . im making 1 sled out of 2 and makeing a mint one . . . so if i change the tank cover it should be ok . . .

The sled was called an Exciter in the US and a STX in Canada and some other countries. Jeff Wurl
