I bought my first sled about 2 mths ago.It's a 1991 Exciter 2.New top end,new crank bearings,new boggies and bearings,and new fuel pump.Hood was cracked up at some point,repairs were made(glassing).I am normally a motorcycle gearhead,and know Yamaha 2 stroke motorcycle history.(running like a raped ape).The track,wear bars,and carbides are in good shape.Sled had 6000 miles on it.What do i need to look for/expect on this machine?Hopefully i made a good investment.I don't expect this thing to last me 20 years,just a few reliable ones..Thanks for any advice..

Nice sled,,very reliable, my brother inlaw runs '88 with only 11,000 miles
on it...

noticed in your pics one of the rear ht exchanger protecters is missing. make sure the studs arent slapping at it and wear a hole.
