Limiter straps question. same part # ?

I just came back to the dealer and they show mw the parts number for limiter straps of an 02 viper and my 99 sx and they are the same....So I'm trying to put the long travel shocks on my skid, do I need the limiter straps that they are the same part number......Anybody has a clue on this...

When I long traveled my 97 SX 600 everyone said to get viper shocks for the front to balance the sled out & to get viper limiter straps So I ordered what everyone said! When they came in.. Same length! the old ones were thicker than the new ones but the same length! That is my experience!

swap the front shocks

Thanks for the reply I guess I will keep the stock ones for now...They are the same part number too so I don't know why I have to do it.....Everybody said to get viper ones too...... Anybody did the viper shocks on the front....Any info...??? Where should I start ??? I have viper radius rods, will they screw on my stock ones or I have to get diferent ends. :dunno: ...Thanks in advance guys..... ;)!

Nicko, The limiter strapes for a long travel vs. short traval are not the same length. Only the 02 srx has the longer straps. I made my own with alternative materials when I long traveled my 99 sx 600. I have a set I would be more than happy to ship your way.

I will be glad to pay for those straps...Would you mind go over with me over the email or the phone to see how in the hell will I long travel my front I have the shocks, sway bar, steering rods and rdius rods of a viper but the radius rods look the same and I dont have the ends....

I'm just getting pretty frustated here nothing seems to work and I always need something else.......and snow is coming....jejejeje :brr
Thanks for all the help men ;)!

Well, I talked to some of the performance guy's from this site & there is no reason to buy all the viper front end parts! Just put the shocks on it will raise the front end up! I used hauck adj shock mounts & again the limiter straps were the EXACT same length as the viper ones I ordered! Now the front end I had mine made out of alluminum! You might be getting confused on long travel & wide front end .

You can just put the shocks on, but it limits travel because you have to load the shocks to get them on. You really need the top gromets off of a lT sled to go in the bulkhead too. As fotr the limiter straps, use your stock ones, just let them all the way out, and adjust from there. Maxdlx PM me if this seems confusing
