Yup.....you guessed it......the all new Phazer.

Great job Yamaha....the best keeps getting better.

Now please build one based off the yz450 instead of the yz250!!!!!
 
Yeah, I read about this just now on HCS. Everyone on there is saying the Phazer is a POS and doesnt deserve the award. They all claimed that Yamaha is buying all the positive press they are getting.
I look at it this way, the Phazer is the most revolutionary sled to come out this year. The Polaris Dragon is nothing more than Polaris' version of the F7 and the Doo Freestyle Park is nothing new because all they did was add the 550 fan to the Freestyle chassis.
I think you might see a 900 in the FX chassis next year, but I honestly dont think its needed. 80 hp is plenty for trail riding and I think if they came out with a 100 or 120 hp version of the Phazer it would cut into the Nytro's sales.
Who knows, maybe they will put 2 450 motors together, put it in the FX chassis, call it the "Exciter" and then just drop the Nytro. At this point its all rumors though...

I read in an article mid last year that this is the year they are gunna turn heads even more...the RX1 got there attention...Apex let them know yamaha was serious..and the Phazer can show they(4strokes) can be light..fun and grab a new demographic...but they said the 2008 are gunna throw another spin on things aswell...(I'll try and find the article to confirm)
Personally I think an "Exciter" kind jump should be next...Revamp the Vector engine in a Phazer Chassis..hmmm..750cc 1 x 450cc + 1 250cc = Exciter..hehehe
As for some of those HCS postings...I've just notice negative comments from Cat guys still draggin there knuckles...its time to evolve boys...

I dont think the Vector motor would it in the Phazer, too wide.
I could see them coming out with a 900 twin by using the same formula they used for the Genesis 80FI, but using 2 450s instead of 2 250s.
 
Yeah...I was just thinking of a beefed up Phazer engine...Sure a 900 would work..but wouldn't that already be to close to the 1000cc versions they have out?...ooorr..what about the opposite...a smaller displacement for the kiddies...A revamped Snowscoot?..
Personally I don't think the Phazer was complete in is evolution...The way the rear seat meets up with the Aluminum tunnel...just Looks wonky...on a side profile you can see right through it...The front end is fanastic..but the back needs refinement...They could drop more weight...smaller floor board like an ATV...and cut out the rest...its not designed to be a touring /muscle sled...Yamaha is on a roll...I don't even think they are looking over at the competition...Just my 2cents
 
i cant wait to ride one my buddy is trying to get one his gramp and father owns all teh ronnies around here(shop chain) and when he says hes gettin a bike or a sled he usualy does so im gonna have funn bombing that thing around little
