I have a 98 700 XTC-P, and am looking to do the silencer mod that is posted here on this sight. I am just wondering if anyone has done it and if they liked it?

I am currently running a MBRP race can wich is too loud here in Ontario. It's in mint shape. If anyone is interested in purchasing it let me know.
Thanks

Works great - little louder than stock, a lot louder than say a newer Viper, but sounds good. Really loud on plowed pavement at say 1:00 in the morning when you pull into the motel after a long ride .... Save your stock silencer if it's not drilled and find a used one that is. That way if you don't like it you can revert back to stock. I have a "bored" one I can send you for $15 and shipping, but being you are in Canada it'd probably save you quite a bit of $ to find one in your neck o' the woods.

Mine would be 18 lbs if you wanted to check on shipping from 54701. (I'd use the USPS calculator - UPS is insanely expensive to ship international packages.)

Also - make sure you rejet, reclutch, regear and do the head gasket mod - really makes them haul a**.

I did mine last year on my 98 xt700. It was pretty easy to do and sounds ok. Unfortunately I was hoping for sound closer to a bender can. It doesnt sound too bad, but also doesnt sound like a Bender. I think it sounds more like a Skidoo (yuk). If I had a choice, I wouldnt do it again. I would buy a different can. Just my opinion.

I did it several years ago and loved the sound, and law enforcement cant tell anything is done. Thin head gasket, reed notch, 142.5 mains and good clutching and they really haul!

I am very interested in the Bender. How much do you want for it and where do you live? Its not as loud as the MBRP race can is it???

I had the MBRP and Bender and the MBRP race can is very loud compared to the Bender.
I still have the Bender and may be willing to sell it. I am in Ontario.

The Bender can was on my machine for 2 seasons then I switched to pipes.
New would cost $349 Canadian. Make me an offer. I can get pictures if you are interested.

my bro is looking for $80 + shiping for it. the can does need to be repacked wich is not hard. great can just switched to pipes. hear are some pics

I live in SE Michigan

BIGRED 700, How much for your MBRP can? I am thinking about putting one on my 97VMAX XTC 600. How old is it?
I am not sure about age (it was on the sled when I bought it)but it is in excellent shape. I will try to post some pictures this weekend.
