Hey guys..so I went to my local dealer today and he sold me a hauck kit for a good price, but its for a 00 srx..it came with a hauck orange and silver secondary from hauck and some weights and rivets along with a mulit-angle helix...the weights say 89a-10 and the rivets say 019 outer and 015 inner the cam is labeld g-1 ..I also installed it today but haven't ran it..the engagment with 3 shims (toomany) is only 4,600 rpm...was told by multiple people that I need 5-5000 rpm and to get a hauck orange..could there be to much weight on the inner rivets?help would be apprietiated whereas i have to race next sunday..thanks

Your gonna run a SRX clutch kit in a Viper? It won,t work with out a lot of changing. You might be able to get it to work but it would take at least a few hours of testing with a lot of extra rivets & other helix,s & springs. Vipers & SRX,s take very different clutching in the primary,s alltho secondary clutching is the same.

ok so since turk had a heart-attack that i was going to use a srx clutch kit on a viper lol i took the kit back and kept the hauck orange...figured the weights were too heavy reason being my engagment was too low..so i picked up the 8ca weights with an assortment of rivets..now the only question is how much to run on the inner and outter rivet holes?going to get a gram scale tomorrow..mrviper you suggested the 8ca's what would you run in them?thanks!
