I'm putting in a new track this year and am considering track porting. I ride groomed packed trails 90% of the time. One of the benifits seems to be less rolling resistance as well as less track weight. My tracks seem to only last three seasons @ only $350 so I'm not concerned about track life. Guys I remember when I could pull with one hand the track on my oval racing sleds and the track would spin around two or three rotations ( without belt on the machine of course ). I need both hands to pull my track three of four inches. Also think extroverts will help and run my track as loose as possible. Somebody over on Snowest says the resistance issue is huge. Any thoughts or other ideas on freeing up some power?

I don't see why thier would be any issues for flatlanders. The only thing would be if your using studs, porting the track will weaken it. Extroverts are well worth the money but you will need to trim your rail and/or rail caps for clearance..............SRXtreme
