i GOT MY 2001SXR fired up today. Man does she sound good with that Sno-Stuff Can.Checked things over again. Track really rolls easy with the 7.5 oversized rears, everything looks in alignment.Waiting for my new ski's next week, the VX301's.Have to change chain case oil yet, antifreeze has been changed already. She is all greased up and waxed down.Them Sportec hand guards look really cool on the bars.Got the primary and secondary spring changed, 51/43 helix in now. 8DN-20 weights in the primary with no rivets.Green spring in secondary to.Added a belt change device to change belts quick, got from Rich.Adjustable control arms in the suspension and added Temp a Flow on the sled.Put in oversized idler wheels in and an extra wheel kit in the front rail area.Installed graphite hyfax also.Changed all the bearings in the suspension also.Re did the bushings in the front end to tighten everything up.Installed a set of ice scrathers to boot,we'll see if they help or not. Will install the Iridine(NGK) plugs just before the snow flies.Got my new Ultimax 3 belt ready to be put on when the time is right. In the last 2 seasons have gone through the whole sled.Like someone on this site said, keep adding new parts and the sled is new.WAY cheaper then paying $15,000 plus for a new one. I will still be keeping my eyes open for this 600's big brother....the 2001 SRX 700.One for ditch banging and one for flat out racing. If I find an SRX,I will totally tweek it to the limit.Would be a fun project. So if any of you live close enough to me,In Southern Manitoba and have a 2001 SRX for sale maybe in the next season,we might be able to arrange a deal or work something out somehow. One way or another I am getting an SRX.
Talk to you's later,or better yet see you on the snow.Keep it Blue to the end.

Oh yes by the way,the smoke it was sweet, but I couldn't breath in the shed.Came into the house and I smell like smoke. My wife isn't going to like that. She thinks I am nuts with all the time I spend on the sled and on this site. She claims I spent more quality time with the 600 then with her.Well the 600 is a sexy beast and you can play with her.LOL.It also has 3 jugs and a wicked back end that you can sit on all day long. It'll handle almost anything I do to her.And she does ride nicely without any complaints.Lets just say me and my SXR go hand in hand.Lets put it another way....I put in so much time with her, that she treats me really fine.PIN IT and feel the Rush.LMAO here.I think with 2 strokes you cannot lose.

WTG man, all those things you did sound good to me. Its almost time for me to start takin off the cover and workin on er'
Only thing I dont like about the smell, is it getting all in your clothes and if alot, you can taste it, and that aint cool.
Let us know how the can does over the winter, never installed any sno-stuff cans on any sleds, just MBRP cans and silencers.

If you can get that sled to cook and do laundry, you can get a divorce!

What u guys say is true.As for the laundry and cooking,I'll just hit open waters with the sled and when I get out of it ,the ice scratchers should of clipped a couple of fish and my clothes will have been soaked but a few more minutes driving and they will be freeze dried. As for the bed thing ...well................humm.....ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.....I can sleep on the seat by myself or find some other driver(female) to double with me.

I could do without the 2-stroke oil stink. I was cutting firewood today and when I was cutting with the chainsaw I thought to myself, "I actually used to think this smelt good? What was I thinking?"
It sounds like a nice sled too. The nice thing about a sled is that you can talk dirty to it, abuse it a little, leave it home when you go out drinking with your buddies and it never leaves you or cheats on you.

Eh, I'll take the raw fuel smell of a 4-stroke instead. Different strokes for different folks, you know?

I enjoy the 2 stroke smell followed by the firewood smell along with a cold beer and a few friends. That's what's it all about.
I have had 2 4strokes not but nothing beats the smell of a two stroke race sled with race fuel and the riight oil.
