anybody know if the 2001 vmax dlx requires the battery for the cdi or can I get away with keeping it out. Also what is the best way to charge the battery and make sure it holds a good charge.

2 or 3 days, you want to charge it slow...
Thanks that's all I needed to know. It's on the charger now so i'll leave for a few days.
