Anyone know why gas would run into the cylinders of a sled when it is just sitting? (SX Viper is the sled.) Is that something to do with the fuel pump, needle seat, floats or ?? Any and all input is appreciated!
Thanks.
Thanks.

Wouldn't it have to fill the crankcase first?

About a quart came out of two cylinders when he turned it over by hand.

it is definately in the cases, coming up when turning the engine over.

DON'T try and start it. you can really mess up a motor if the case is full of fuel. Maxdlx

What should we do with it to get rid of the gas? Should we be worried about the crank rusting since get got a bunch of the gas out of it?

Man I was just up there last week, i could have helped. Take the plugs out, and I would remove the exhaust at the Y pipe, and pull it over until it cleans out. Well first remove the carbs and clean them. Once you have it clean, put it back together and run it. What sled is it on, I don't think straight gas will hurt the crank to bad. Be better if it was a pre mix sled, then it would be good. maxdlx
Didn't remember the sx viper part. get it running as soon as you can, and while running pull the oil cable adjment apart so it is wide open. it will smoke like he!!, but it will oil it up good. I almost pm'd you Sunday from menominee too

Would the gas remove oil from crank? Wouldn't want anyone to have a bearing failure.
