I've read a lot of talk in here about how bad the stock Viper tracks are and I'm wondering what model year the complaints related to. I just purchased a used 03 Viper, with 96 trail picks all in the middle. Track looked like a 1" lug, cone style. Is that the stock track? Is this the Yokohama track that everyone is complaining about? I ride trails mostly, but often race on the lakes. Will this setup get me by for a year or two? I plan to put another 48 picks down the middle when I take delivery.
Thanks! Just trying to plan out the next few years worth of mods.

I do believe the 03 vipers did come with a cone track. So you probably do have the stock track. That setup will get you by for sure.

that is the camoplast conical lug track, it is really good on hard pack snow, but sucks in loose stuff or powder.
