I've considered selling my sled for something different, as it's nowhere near set up for the type of riding i like. I have a '99 SRX600 and like to jump and ditch-bang, i also need a new track (with studs). What's the most cost effective way to approach this (keeping my current sled and setting it up for jumping and ditch-banging)? I'm not opposed to going to a longer track either. I suppose i could always trade/sell it for an SX-R or something like that as well.

Just looking for some options. The less cost, the better.

the best bet is and ExpertX.

the cheapest way is Viper springs and shocks

in between the 2 would be a Skid from another manufacturer

What he said-LOL Expert for bangin for sure, sometimes you can find used.
Lots of deals on skids on E-bay from other brands if there is one you like, most can be put in with minimal work. If you have the track off anyway, even less work. Cat, SC-10 and Pro-x have all been put in Pro-cation sleds, you can find help with the installs on this board.

Thanks guys... guess i'll have to watch around for some Viper shocks... seems like the easiest way to deal with it.

I do have a 98 Pantera in the barn back home that hasn't been running in about 5 years (has under 400 miles on it, hit a tree and bent the frame), wonder how much work it'd be to get that 136" underneath my sled. I think it has like 11.5" of travel...
