that track is insanely loose. i dont think it would be able to move in the deep stuff that loose.

That track is loose for sure unless it tightons some with a little weight on the suspension. Guys around here run them loose but nothing like that.

I've seen it in their shop in Sandpoint, but never ridden with them, can't tell you how it works.

I stopped into the shop earlier this week and chatted about the skid. Unfortunately the guy that actually designs and builds them wasn't in, I had chatted with him last year. They do run the tracks VERY loose, and have a running $100 bet with anyone that can get it to rachet. I haven't ridden or seen one in action, but I can tell you that the guys in the shop are a serious bunch of riders, and have quite a bit of time into getting that skid in action. If you're interested you might want to give them a call, the guys are all good to talk with. I don't want to "talk up" a product I can't vouch for, but given the guys involved I'd bet it works very well. I'll mention this site to them the next time I'm in there, maybe they will respond here.
