i decided to check out the speedo bearing on my sled today, it doesnt seem look right does anyone have a pic of it should look like or explain. the drive shaft doesnt sit flush with this ring that has a set screw, its almost half way on the shaft, it looks like it holds the bearing in place, but doesnt the bearing have its own set screws?

On my srx the bearing is in the other way with the lock screws on the inside.
Those set screws are there to hold in on the drivers.
I'd change it while you have it all apart and there isn't any snow yet.

MadMax. You may have to use a bearing puller for removal. But do as Mulderdad stated above, turn bearing around so the set screws are between the bearing itslef and the drivers. Once everything is back together, rotate the track a few times then tighten the set screws.

what would be the easiest way to fix this?, so there shouldnt be that collar there? and it should be on the other side of the tunnel? with nothing else there? i wonder who did this it must have been this way for 2 years now, should i drop the skid on this to fix it, thanks guys
you dont have to drop the skid to fix this. you just need to slack off the track adjusters all the way so there is no tension on the track.
the bearing is in backwards ...turn it around, jack up the sled ,and tighten set screws from the insde. the're there to hold the bearing in place so the shaft dose'nt spin in the bearing!

Spray it with WD-40 and let it soak-in overnight. I would put a new bearing in while you have it apart; it's cheap insurance.
