Looking for some answers on my 99 rear suspension, can i effectivly put a rear set of shocks from a viper, not sure what year, and increase my ride height in the rear? It has ohlins front and rear and the ride is comfortable, but would like more height, and if possible can i also increase the front.I saw in the past questions that it could work with radius rods, but am wondering would the viper shcks directly bolt up in rear then front?thanks in advance.

i know there is a lot of options in the front.. but have only put viper shock on my srx, its easy and gives you more travel in the rear.. you dont need to change the transfer rods on a 99, so its bolt on!

I think mine has a little too much. I even raised the front shock mounts and still too high in the back.

You can put viper shocks in the rear, basically just bolt in and go. Are you going to be selling your rear ohlins when you do this? If so i am interested.

i'll keep you in mind for the shocks.Just as soon as i can find some rear viper shocks i will contact you,oh yeah what year viper ,i might just buy from local dealer, thanks

actually it's a 98 srx.Did they originally come with ohlin's?It's got 4 of them 2 in front and 2 underneath.Just put a 1.25 ripsaw in it and then saw a viper skid for sale, going to swap skids

If you spring ordered the 98, you could get the Ohlins front shocks, but the skid shocks are not Ohlins.

Heres what mine looks like vipered all around.

thanks for the info, just bought a couple of front and rear shocks of a viper tha are rebuidable.Any ways the front ohlins are for sale if any are interested.

Before you sell the ohlins you might want to check into putting longer shafts into them. Usually on Reservoir shocks you have some head room for longer shafts. Just a thought.
